With over 20 years of experience in the marketing and hospitality industry, Thea Pagel brings a unique perspective to event marketing and brand building. She had hands on experiencing developing brands while on the opening team of the House of Blues, as well as, insider experience while producing events for brand leaders such as Microsoft and MTV. Her expertise encompasses both brand development, brand management, strategy and execution. Her specialty is creativity and delivering on projects from concept through execution.
As Vice President of Joel, a highly regarded catering company, Thea Pagel elevated the level of pofessionalism, client services and marketing at the company. She built knowledgeable sales, marketing and production teams that offered creative menus and food service, detailed floorplans and precise timelines. Through her relationships and reputation she cultivated a loyal corporate cleintele list that includes: Fox Sports (who hosted their SuperBowl event with Joel), Boehrinher-Ingelheim, Allergan, Intergen and Jansen Pharmacueticals. While there her team flawlessly produced food service for up to 15,000 guests.
Thea Pagel was part of the opening team of the House of Blues New Orleans, the second venue and model for future venues within the company. House of Blues is an entertainment company whose venues celebrate the food, music and art of Southern Culture. She built the template for special events through out the company. She created menu packages, sales kits, and a sales and event production department. She was responsible for marketing the 350 seat restaurant and the 1,000 capacity venue. In 1990 she was instrumental in concepting, designing and marketing the expansion of the venue - the Parish, the private party space, as well as the exclusive, members only lounge and dining room, the Foundation. As Director of Sales and Marketing she was one of 4 on the Executive Committee who managed the 20 milllion dollar business.
